    Seismic excitation The paper presents the general theory of dynamic systems analysis under kinematic excitation. On its basis the methodology of analysis of rotor systems of general type being under seismic excitation was developed. The results of unsteady dynamic analysis of one degree of freedom system and a rotor supported by non-linear journal bearings are presented. The methodology and the algorithms are implemented into the Dynamics R4 program system developed to analyze the dynamic behavior of complex rotor systems.
